I’d almost expect someone so accomplished to be neat and professional, but this guy just acts like a real person

So he helped found the largest design firm in Germany (MetaDesign) and he has since help found FontShop and designed a heap of fonts and written four books. People do that shit all the time. What caught my attention about him was when he talked about Microsoft as a bunch of ‘mean bastards.’ Erik seems like such an amazing person to know, but it’s probably best that I never meet him in order not to jeopardize this image of greatness I seem to have fabricated him to be.  Imaging the disappointment should we learn that he doesn’t like candy or he really ONLY talks about fonts. If he only talks about fonts, how would you know what to make him for dinner?

Regardless of his character, Spiekermann has done many many things and we should all wish to accomplish, in our own lives, half of what he has done in his. At the bottom of this is a list of fonts he’s made and if you can’t get enough, follow him on twitter
